Kids' Window Treatments

Wood cornices are the perfect finishing touch to this nursery. Placed over curtains and shades they make a big statement. Great idea with the boys names centered on the cornices and above the cribs.

Grommets and simple hooks are what make these red valances so unique - makes for ease of washing. The blue shutters with a metal insert are simple and would be easy to make.

Plain curtain panels were dressed up with ribbon and napkin ring holders. Images from here.

Tissue pom pom giveaway ends tomorrow.

  2. Very nice! One thing to keep in mind when dealing with a bedroom where a baby sleeps is noise. While there isn't such a thing as a completely soundproof curtain, think felt or velvet curtains can help dampen a significant amount of sound. The only downside is they may not match the rest of the room's decor, but you could always just use the felt or velvet as a liner.
