Jodie Murphy designed this sweet serene lavender baby nursery. Jodie describes the room, "The room has soft lavender walls. The focal wall has hand painted stripes in a gloss finish. The furniture is from the Simply Shabby Chic collection. The bedding is lavender toile, with touches of gingham and polka dots. Throughout the nursery I used touches of cream and ivory. I also embellished the room with bunnies and birds to give it a cozy cottage feel. I wanted to achieve a sophisticated, serene atmosphere, yet one that was young and cheerful. The wall color is Brushed Lavender by Valspar. The decal was purchased through a website called mywalldecals.com. "
Thank you Jodie for sharing your nursery with us. What a beautiful room for you and your little girl to enjoy.

I have to say that this is one of the most beautiful baby rooms I have seen. It is so calming and relaxing. Any baby would feel safe and secure here. Congratulations it is gorgeous, and makes me want to have more children just so that I can decorate a room like that. Well done!
ReplyDeleteSoooooo pretty!! May I ask where you found that beautiful curtain rod over the bed? I've been dying to find that :)
ReplyDeleteWe are looking for the Wrought iron as well. Can we ask where you found yours? They are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful nursery! Please let me know where you found that curtain rod.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the kind comments. The iron work/scarf rod above the bed was purchased from www.collectionsetc.com. It originally was a brass finish; I spray painted it satin nickel to match the curtain rods.
ReplyDeleteJust wondering where you got the toile fabric for the bedding? Or was it already made? Looking for this exact same fabric and color and haven't been able to find it....If you can let me know i'll appreciate it..Thank You.
ReplyDeleteI purchased the bedding on Ebay, The sellers name/store name was KidsCastles.
ReplyDeleteI love your nursery and have been trying to do something similar with mine, the curtain rod over the crib in particular. I looked on the website you mentioned and I could not find the curtain rod for sale! Do you have a direct link to it? I could only find a picture of it in a link to sell a sheer curtain panel.
ReplyDeleteThis room was designed a while ago. The curtain rods are probably not for sale anymore. Sorry wish we could help further. Good luck.
