Check out this bold black, white and red nursery created by Kimberly Johnson for her baby son Cade. Great change from the usual white crib to the stylish red crib and changing table. This nursery exudes confidence and passion!
I love how the scrolling black and red wall art mirror the detail in the chandelier!

What a powerful room to celebrate the special addition baby Cade is to Kimberly's family.

I just love all your room ideas.
ReplyDeleteI love the red crib, but I don't like the black- I would have gone with pinks or greys. It's just not enough relaxing to me.
ReplyDeleteholy cow... that is truly awful! I can't even be constructive on this one. Yikes!
ReplyDeleteI am going with a black, white and red theme for my duaghters nursery also but I did mine a bit different. We painted the walls red and put white wainscoting around the bottom and then used all black furniture. I think it looks better this way. The red crib and changing table is too much.
ReplyDeleteNice idea because black, white, and red are the first colors infants can see. Only issues is that it may be a bit overstimulating at times when you do not want the baby to be overstimulated.
ReplyDeleteHow did you paint the scrolly thing on the wall. I would love to do that in my baby's room.
ReplyDeleteI know this is several months old, but I have a friend doing a black/red nursery for a boy due in March. Any idea how the scroll was done? Decal? Stencil? and where it can be found if it was a purchased item?
ReplyDeleteThanks!
Sorry I don't know for sure - but it looks to me like it was painted on the wall. Since I'm not an artist - I always used an overhead projector to project designs on the wall. I then traced the design with pencil and then painted them later. You can find all types of graphics/design/art on the internet to project on a wall.
ReplyDeleteGood luck.
Found this by chance and I have to tell you red black and white are my favorite colors. And even if others would have done it differently I appreciate your willingness to think outside the box. One thing that would bring balance to this room would be some sort of soft lighting possibly in wall fixtures and really soft sheer curtains. White possibly or even a color you wouldn't think of like a different shade of black, coal maybe? or even white. And do a really feminine fabric. That will lighten the starkness of the contrasts between colors. Well done!!! :)
ReplyDeletethat is SOOO CREEPY!
