Thing 1 and Thing 2 cupcakes! Lyndsey from Kitchen DoughDough is the genius behind these cupcakes! She says, "All you need to do is bake red velvet cupcakes in red liners, frost with white frosting, and add cotton candy for their hair!" Visit her site for details.
Setting the Mood is another place to get creative, fabulous party ideas. I love all her Dr. Seuss signs and artwork!
You've probably seen this Thing 1/Thing 2 baby shower by the talented Amy from Stem Parties. Her ideas are so fun and clever - I just had to include it!
Kara from Kara's Party Ideas is a very talented party girl! These green cupcakes couldn't be any cuter! Check out more of her Dr. Seuss baby shower...
Clever idea using punching balls hanging from the ceiling. I also used this idea with black and orange punching balls to fill a very large room for a halloween party. This is an inexpensive way to add some "punch" to the area you're decorating. The balls are much larger than balloons and can be purchased at OTC for cheap.
Raspberry lemonade cupcakes with lemonade frosting and pink cotton candy for fluff were made for the Horton table! Horton toppers were made out of magnets. Oh my...Kara is quite the gal. Make sure to visit her blog * Kara's Party Ideas * for more clever Dr. Seuss ideas.
How about having Thing 1 and Thing 2 at the baby shower as helpers! My daughters have always been fabulous helpers at parties. Hire two responsible teens to help out - it's always good to have extra help. If you can get them to dress up as thing 1 and thing 2, they'll be a hit! Even a simple outfit with a red t-shirt or red apron and thing1/ thing 2 decal, would be cute!
Not wanting to fuss with elaborate centerpieces? Tie red, white and bright blue balloons to the Cat in the Hat lunchbox for a simple centerpiece. More ideas for easy centerpieces....
Choose one of these cookie jars as a centerpiece - after the party give one to the expectant mom as a fun memento of her baby shower!

ReplyDeleteMy sister is having a baby and you all inspired me to throw her a dr.seuss baby shower! I was wondering where could I purchase the dr.seuss greeting sign because I went to kinkos but was told they don't make them. Please help me out. Much love, Ebony.
ReplyDeleteProbably the best way to make a sign is hire someone or ask an artist friend. Show them some examples. Good luck : )
